A delegation of scientists from NCPOR-MoES attended the 11th SCAR Open Science Conference in Pucón, Chile.

A delegation of scientists from NCPOR-MoES, including Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director-NCPOR,  Dr. Alvarinho J. Luis, Scientist-F, Dr. Avinash Kumar, and Dr. Yogesh Ray, Scientist-E attended the 11th SCAR Open Science Conference in Pucón, Chile, from August 19-23, 2024. The team led and co-convened scientific sessions, highlighting India's extensive research in Antarctica and contributing to discussions on the latest scientific findings. The NCPOR delegation's participation in SCAR 2024 emphasized India's commitment to Antarctic research, promoted international collaboration and contributed to global efforts to address climate change and environmental challenges in the polar regions.
